What You Will Do
The position is responsible for development, operation and maintenance of an automated system that facilitates and supports IT Service Management operational processes based on ITIL best practices.  Activities include application development, system administration and maintenance, testing, reporting, and user training.  Will attain and use a comprehensive knowledge of the system architecture and apply for introduction of changes and new functionality.
 
This position is Virtual with a preference of a Midwest location.

Responsibilities:
This position will:
  • Implement and maintain the technology solution for IT Service management operational process automation
  • Provide support for the technology solution
  • Identify opportunities to improve the technology solution
  • Work with customers to identify business requirements
  • Understand and perform system configuration management
  • Work with customers to solution and implement application changes
  • Resolve application issues
  • Develop complex reporting
  • Develop training and support documentation for customers and internal IT use
What You Will Need
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Work Experience:
  • Two or more years of experience preferred.
Highly Desired:
  • 2 or more years of experience with Service-now.com software
  • 4 or more years of experience associated with software development methodologies
  • Ability to fulfill On Call rotations
Preferred:
  • Bachelor Degree in business/MIS or related field from an accredited college
  • ITIL foundation certification
  • Experience in design and/or development and maintenance of a service catalog is preferred
  • Working knowledge of networks, the Internet, modern protocols and email, SMTP, POP3
  • Scripting knowledge such as JavaScript, CSS, XML
  • Experience with legacy systems, batch files, web services, via APIs is a plus
  • HTML and XHTML
  • Active Directory, LDAP
  • AJAX experience
  • Working knowledge of relational databases
  • Agile Certification
