Sarah Cannon Research Institute is the research arm of HCA Healthcare's global cancer institute, Sarah Cannon. Summary of Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Business Analyst works to acquire detailed understanding of business processes, drivers, roles and metrics related to a specific line of business within the Sarah Cannon organization. He/she proactively identifies opportunities to leverage technology or process design in delivery organization objectives. This includes serving as a liaison between the assigned Sarah Cannon organization and IT through the design, development, and implementation of processes, applications, and reports to support key business processes. He/she supports the process improvement efforts of the Operational Excellence team by supplying foundational data, recommending metrics to measure success, and implementing dashboards or reporting to track the change lifecycle of these efforts. He/she develops and maintains reporting tools necessary to support operations and the measure of organizational strategic metrics and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities


Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Aligned with assigned line of business as subject matter expert of business processes, handoffs, and interdependencies; conceptualize full system solutions to meet organization objectives
  • Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level; focusing on quality improvement and data management; ensuring data is reliable and valid; developing process improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination; integrating new systems and processes with existing ones; and partnering with internal and external customers to ensure systems provided meet the long-term business strategies
  • Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in Information Systems and apply this to the development, execution and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices
  • Stay current with customer needs and strategies; utilizing formal and informal written communication methods to communicate updates and findings; and facilitating project meetings and presentations to all types of diverse audiences (for example, senior management, Customers, technical staff)
  • Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process
  • Determines methods to capture and baseline metrics that align to strategy and/or specific project requirements
  • Designs, develops, and implements standard and ad hoc reporting to support business needs
  • Offers consultation services to management around the creation of reporting
  • Uses data to help make recommendations to management and leadership
  • Provides leadership to Business Analysts and aids the Manager in accomplishing departmental objectives


Minimum Qualifications

Education:
Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree (4 year program)
Preferred: Master's Degree (1-2 year program)

Experience:
Minimum Required:
  • At least 3 years' experience in gathering business requirements (can be IT, finance or business requirements)
  • Experience in process design and creation of data flows
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to allow facilitation of business and IT objectives
  • Report creation/maintenance experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
  • 5+ years of Business analysis and/or process improvement experience
  • Designing, developing and maintaining reports to support a growing organization
  • Experience working on high profile technology and/or process improvement projects
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
