General Summary:

The Manager of Clinical Applications functions as the leader of a team of analysts that design, build, implement, support, and test multiple Cerner Millinneum clinical applications including but not limited to PowerChart, PowerNote, PowerPlans, IVIEW, INet, Clinical Documentation, NHIQM, and CPOE. Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Field preferred. Master's Degree preferred Three or more years of healthcare experience preferred Managerial experience preferred 3-5 years' experience with clinical information systems. Experience with Cerner Millennium applications and implementation preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Project, Office and Visio. Knowledge of hospital processes.

  
Qualifications

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

•        Manage teams to perform required support activity

•        Lead complex technical and clinical projects with minimal supervision

•        Perform analysis of project initiatives for scope, resourcing, and timeline requirements

•        Identify and engage subject matter experts across departments to ensure timely delivery of services

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED :

 

  • 3-5+ years' experience with clinical/technical EMR system application implementation
  • 3-5+ years of clinical/technical background
  • 3-5+ years management experience
  • 3+ years of informatics experience
  • Microsoft Office suite experience, proficient in PowerPoint presentations
  • Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills
  • Experience engaging & working with hospital leadership
  • Experience presenting to hospital leadership
  • Strategic, creative, and process oriented thinking


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

•     Knowledge of hospital operations

•     Knowledge of clinical workflows

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

•     BS or BA in a Healthcare or Business related field

SUBSTITUTIONS: An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

•     Master's Degree in Healthcare, Informatics, Computer Science or Business administration; all with related healthcare experience

Cerner Millennium Certification

 

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED :

•     Completion of one professional certification within three years and maintenance of certification thereafter if applicable.
