You Will Be Responsible For:

 

•         Serves as a consultant to all levels of leadership including Directors, Managers, and individual contributors for coaching and consulting around business needs.

•         Administers and analyzes organizational assessments; which includes gathering and processing data and offering key recommendations for the redesign of management processes, organizational change and new structures.

•         Serves as a subject matter expert for the administration for the enterprise Lynda.com contract, Cerner Premier Pass, and IT certifications.

•         Demonstrates project management and organizational skills with the ability to execute with and through others while managing multiple projects and changing priorities.

•         Researches and leverages industry trends, benchmarks, and best practices; providing guidance when difficult decisions need to be made.

•         Designs, develops, delivers, and implements various client specific learning programs in various training formats and modalities including: instructor-led training, workshops, e-learning, tutorials, conferences, meetings, recorded webinars, on the job training, demonstrations etc.

•         Designs and develops training materials including job aids, presentations, reference guides and other tools and resources.

•         Coordinates the logistics of training programs, which includes direct responsibility for attendance, materials and scheduling.

•         Supports ongoing improvements and updates to training and education programs based upon evaluation of effectiveness, success and ROI.

•         Demonstrates leadership and support for developing people, systems, work processes and the work environment to drive business results.

•         Maintains a keen understanding of adult learning, training and education trends, new developments and best practices.

•         Continuously improves knowledge as it relates to organizational development theories, concepts, practices and procedures).

•         Work cohesively and constructively with the other members of the Organizational Development team in a manner that is based on trust, collaboration, continuous process improvement, information sharing, group and individua accountability, and healthy competition.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED :

•         Ability to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal, consulting, facilitation, training/presentation and relationship building skills.

•         Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition (i.e., experiencing time pressure, conflict, or job ambiguity).

•         Ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate).

•         Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

•         Ability to utilize Microsoft Office at an intermediate level (PowerPoint, Word, Excel etc.).

•         Ability to work independently and as a team member.

•         Ability to recognize and to honor confidentiality.

•         Knowledge of the fields of Organizational Development (including theories, concepts, practices, and procedures).

•         Ability to problem solve and demonstrate conflict management experience.

•         Knowledge of adult learning styles and training strategy, group process, facilitation and delivery.

•         Knowledge of instructional designing, implementation, and managing traditional and modern training methods and techniques.

•         Knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

•         2+ years with Learning Management System (LMS) experience (i.e., SABA/ALN).

•         3+ years internal consultation and training experience working with Senior Managers concerning improving work groups, teams and organizations.

•         Knowledge of Visio and other interactive presentation software (i.e. Prezi).

•         Knowledge of instructional design models and tools (i.e., ADDIE).

•         Project Management experience.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

•         Bachelor's degree required from an accredited institution; preferably in Learning or Organizational Development. Master's degree preferred.

•         4+ years training design experience in a professional environment (healthcare preferred).

•         2+ years of experience in a healthcare environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

•         2+ years with Learning Management System (LMS) experience (i.e., SABA/ALN).

Summary:

The OD Consultant is responsible for collaborating with the Organizational Development Manager in supporting the Adventist Health Information Technology (AIT) executives in the design and the delivery of the leadership development and organizational strategies. This position will work closely with all levels of leadership in conducting organizational development interventions (e.g., change management, organizational assessments, organizational design, coaching, leadership retreats, surveys, team effectiveness, new leader assimilation/transitions etc.). This position will also be responsible for designing new tools and materials, and leading and facilitating new and existing learning and development programs (e.g., AIT internship and orientation programs, individual development planning, succession, talent reviews) and other ongoing and customized leadership development and OD interventions, programs or initiatives (e.g., high potential leadership development, curriculum-based classes, culture initiatives, various workshops). The OD Consultant will serve as a SME by effectively collaborating with business lines and senior leaders to achieve goals while promoting a spirit of teamwork and commitment to the timely delivery of exceptional organization design work products. This position will work under the supervision of the Organizational Development Manager to support the employees of AIT using organizational development methodologies, procedures and tools to implement solutions, and continuously improve individuals, teams and the AHS AIT organization.
