Description:

-As SQA technical testing Engineer -  You will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and automation support of applications developed for our business partners. As a member working in an automation team you will take direction from automation manager, testing architects and Leads on testing activities. Work on developing different automation framework, automate test cases using that framework for solutions based on modern big data technologies like Hive, Hadoop, Spark, Elastic Search, Storm, Kafka, etc and Web based application using Node.js, Angular, Micro Services architecture in cloud deployment model to solve large scale processing problems. The software application landscape within KP-IT spans many technologies that include:






        • building automation platform on cloud (Blumix, AWS & Azure)


        • using Java Script, Rest based API, Python, Java or any other language to solving data problems


        • implementing Automation framework using Protractor, Selenium, Mocha, Chai, Cucumber and RestAssured.


        • Experience designing and implementing Continuous integration using Jenkin and Continuous Delivery CI/CD.


        • Experience using Github for source control.


        • Implementing SDLC best practices and Agile methods-



In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this position is responsible for programming, using Web Services tools, and working wit h JavaScript modules.Some of the unique challenges this position will face include coding or modifying and simple JavaScript modules to be implemented across different browsers; developing, debugging, and registering Web Services tools; developing XML-SOAP messages; and developing programs using structured programming techniques.

Identifies, defines, and mitigates complex issues, dependencies, and risks related to testing.
Determines testing scope and approach, and collaborates with cross-functional IT and business stakeholders to review and approve the overall testing approach.
Ensures test plans and timelines are aligned with project/program milestones.
Leads and assists in the development of the quality assurance (QA) test project strategies, methodologies, and standard processes for moderately to highly complex IT initiatives across multiple QA domains by analyzing business and technology requirements to ensure testability and traceability.
Reviews and validates testable business processes, test data, and test environment requirements.
Defines and ensures adherence with entry and exit criteria according to Kaiser testing standards.
Manages the development of test scenarios and execution of test cases across all testing phases (e.g., SIT, Performance, UAT, Automation, Production, Validation).
Generates scheduled reports (e.g., test execution, defects, ad hoc reports) and provides daily test execution metrics to IT teams and management, as appropriate.
Collaborates with cross-functional IT teams to gain buy-in and approval of test plans, and tracks quality metrics across testing phases (e.g., SIT, Performance, UAT, Automation, Production, Validation).
Develops quality assurance (QA) project plans, with guidance from senior team members as appropriate, for moderately to highly complex projects by participating in the identification of project scope, work plans, schedules, milestones, critical paths, and ensuring proper staffing.
Ensures quality metrics are tracked across testing phases (e.g., SIT, Performance, UAT, Automation, Production, Validation).

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum two (2) years experience working with automation testing methodologies or Minimum one (1) year experience with automation and 1 year experience with technical testing methodologies.
Minimum two (2) years experience in software or systems programming and/or scripting.
Minimum one (1) year in an informal leadership role working with technical teams.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field and Minimum six (6) years experience in SQA, software testing or related field. Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two (2) years experience working with Web Services technologies for system or software testing.

One (1) year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with leadership (e.g., Manager level and above)
Three (3) years experience working in a large matrixed organization.

Three (3) years experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of software development life cycle(s) (SDLC).
Two (2) years experience writing technical documentation in a software testing or quality assurance environment.
Two (2) years experience working with integration technologies (e.g., web services, MQ).
Master's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field.
