Job Description

This senior manager level position is primarily responsible for managing reports & dashboards maintenance and the data sourcing strategy for analytic efforts. The position manages analytic product support efforts, manages access and report delivery, and maintenance of data quality to standard.

Essential Responsibilities:

Manages designated units by translating business plans into tactical action items; communicating goals and objectives; ensuring all policies and procedures are followed; overseeing the completion of work assignments; assuming responsibility for decision making; aligning team efforts; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; incorporating resources, costs, and forecasts into unit plans; removing obstacles that impact performance; guiding performance and developing contingency plans accordingly; partnering with key stakeholders and business leaders to ensure products and/or services meet requirements and expectations while aligning with departmental strategies; and influencing units to operate in alignment with business objectives.
Manages the automation and maintenance of business reporting solutions by partnering with analytics and business partners to ensure consistency and coherency of output; reviewing and approving results; ensuring data reports, visualizations, and/or interactive Business Intelligence (BI) reports meet established standards. Establishes optimal reporting storage lifecycle; ensuring reports are organized and readily accessible.
Manages analytic product support efforts by overseeing testing design, execution, and peer code reviews; triaging and prioritizing report changes or modifications; and informing the development of common business rules.
Manages access, data delivery, and data system changes by managing data control business processes for multiple data domains or elements to achieve system integrity and consistency; assessing and maintaining strategies that reduce data redundancies and increase data consistency in partnership with analytics, enterprise data warehouse and IT teams; establishing policies and procedures; creating and maintaining data reference materials for reporting; and ensuring data security protocols and standards are followed.
Manages development and reporting of outcomes and process measures used by the regional and national office stakeholders by partnering with senior-level clients and executive leadership, reviewing the translation of business definitions; determining data and information needs; reviewing data collection methods collaborating with clients and staff to identify opportunities and methods to improve efficiencies with data sourcing for process measures to ensure timely deliverables.
Oversees the maintenance of data quality standards in partnership with the enterprise data warehouse team and data governance; establishing and approving policies and procedures related to the accurate uses of data; establishing data quality standards; overseeing user acceptance testing on data system changes; partnering to identify database maintenance enhancements; recommending process improvements or system changes to enhance overall quality of the data.

Basic Qualifications:


Minimum eight (8) years of experience in data analytics or a directly related field.
Minimum five (5) years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports.
Minimum four (4) years of experience as a reporting and data steward.

Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, social/physical/life science, business, or related field OR four (4) years of directly related experience.
High School Diploma OR General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration

Two (2) years of experience delivering presentations to senior management.

Four (4) years project management experience.
Advanced degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, social/physical/life science, business, or related field.
Accredited Process Improvement Certification.
Accredited Project Management Certification.
