Senior Program Manager - Healthcare Analytics

Job Description

This senior manager level position accelerates the KP Insight analytics program to deliver insights enabling business operations to realize regional strategies and goals. This position leads governance and oversight over analytics needs via intake, prioritization, project lifecycle planning processes. Creates standards, learning & development opportunities and education and training for business users of analytics as well as analytics teams. Develops the overall communication system for the analytics teams to business stakeholders.

Essential Responsibilities:

Manages the analytics intake & prioritization process so that the region's critical analytics needs are being met by developing the process, overseeing the process, and developing and driving the adoption of intake and prioritization tools.
Under the direction of the Senior Director, provides strategic and tactical planning to ensure that the analytics work is aligned with national and regional goals by: collaborating with the Analytic leadership to develop and share the analytic vision and developing shared performance goals that align with the planning goals.
Directly supports the delivery of analytic solutions by providing a program management framework that includes: agile best practices, SCRUM, sprint planning, scope development, timelines, and status reporting, as appropriate.
Provides training services to ensure that the analytics teams and its customers can make full use of emerging analytics tools and content by: identifying training needs, developing training materials (super-user training, content training), and delivering tools for end users.
Creates communication vehicles and delivers key communications both internal and external to the analytics team including: SharePoint site, intranet, newsletters, release notes, and client rounding.
Assists in the establishment and management of program management best practices in regards to allocation of resources, schedules and task assignments.
Serves as the liaison between analytics and EPMO.
Pursues professional growth and provides developmental opportunities for others by soliciting and acting on performance feedback; building collaborative, cross-functional relationships; training and developing talent for growth opportunities; delegating tasks and decisions; fostering open dialogue amongst team members; executing performance management guidelines and expectations; and working closely with employees to set goals and provide open feedback and coaching to drive performance improvement.
Manages designated work unit by translating business plans into tactical action items; ensuring all policies and procedures are followed; delegating tasks to meet goals and objectives; overseeing the completion of work assignments; aligning team efforts; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; removing obstacles that impact performance; and guiding performance and developing contingency plans accordingly.
Ensures the alignment, buy-in, engagement and support of diverse project stakeholders by building and maintaining relationships, as well as communicating appropriately with internal customers, third party vendors, and senior management.
Determines program goals, influences the prioritization of deliverables, coordinates all business processes (e.g. program change management, communication) and facilitates decisions necessary for program delivery by partnering with program sponsors and/or senior leadership.

Basic Qualifications:


Minimum eight (8) years of IT or related business experience.
Minimum seven (7) years of experience managing project(s) using project life cycle methodologies (e.g., SDLC, process management, organizational change).
Minimum four (4) years of experience implementing and leading large, complex project teams in a matrixed corporate environment.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.

Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, MIS or related field OR four (4) years of directly related experience.
High School Diploma OR General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration

Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Preferred Qualifications:

Five (5) years experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
Three (3) years experience leading projects or programs requiring the integration of cross-functional technology and/or business solutions
Five (5) years experience in business analysis.
Five (5) years experience working in a large matrixed organization.
Five (5) years experience working with Microsoft Project and Jira
Four (4) years experience in large-scale infrastructure implementation.
Two (2) years health care experience.
Two (2) years experience delivering presentations to senior management.
Two (2) years experience in process improvement.
Two (2) years experience in transition or change management implementation.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project/program management certification.
