Job Description

Under general direction, provides project management to highly visible and sensitive and complex imaging projects for complex and large scale service areas. In conjunction with Managers, deploys medical area specific implementation plans and oversees their implementation for all imaging projects in their assigned medical area. Assigned projects are typically complex in scope and may involve multiple clinical and support functional areas. Responsible for the success of assigned imaging project implementations within their assigned medical area. Provides high quality and cost effective project management and analytic support and workflow. Position will exercise judgment within generally defined practices/policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining results.

Essential Responsibilities:

Under general direction, provides project management for highly visible, complex, sensitive and multi-faceted imaging projects.
In conjunction with Managers, deploys medical area specific implementation plans and directs their implementation for all imaging projects in their assigned area.
In conjunction, with local teams participates and implements capital imaging projects as assigned by the regional capital project team.
Executes and adapts area wide project plans which identify issues, problems, approaches, performance metrics and resources required.
Maintains and administers up to date and accurate local capital inventory and information.
In concert with chiefs of service, department administrators and local senior leaders, works with clinical departments to better use implemented solutions to optimize clinical department processes.
Establishes team membership and negotiates time commitments and resource allocation.
Motivates team members and facilitates team meetings.
Cultivates and reinforces appropriate group values, norms and behaviors.
Provides direction to team on performance and productivity issues.
Acts as liaison, problem solver and facilitator for change management and optimization of clinical operations.
Edits and adapts research plans for data gathering and analysis in support of operations optimization.
Actively participates or leads in analyzing data and developing recommendations and action plans.
Plans and facilitates meetings.
Makes formal presentations to various senior level audiences.
Modifies procedures regarding implementation of project outcome.
Assesses project impact on workforce.
Establishes effective professional business relationships with all levels of management.
Instructs and educates on all aspects of projects.
Provides project implementation functional direction for assigned projects to all required resources.
Travel within region required.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum three (3) years of progressive experience in managing complex projects in a multi-disciplinary environment in healthcare. Education
Bachelor's degree in business administration, public health administration, project management certification or other related field OR four (4) years of experience in directly related field. High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required. License, Certification, Registration
Additional Requirements:
Demonstrates solid analytical skill, self-initiative and motivation. Demonstrated ability to conduct and interpret quantitative/qualitative analysis. Must demonstrate effective communication, consulting, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Proficient with PC applications including spreadsheet, word processing, and graphics packages. Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous related analytical and /or consulting experience preferred. Previous experience in customer service or systems implementation preferred. Knowledge of operating systems, network architectures, preferred and systems integration in a healthcare environment preferred.
